As an employer you should be able to show that you have taken all reasonable steps within your business to provide an environment where anyone, regardless of any disability can work and have equal access to your goods, facilities or services.
Business owners can get quite anxious about these regulations but in general any changes required to meet the regulations will be balanced by common sense, for example, you would not be expected to install a lift in a listed building, but you might need to provide opportunities for employees to work remotely if they couldn't physically get into the office. |
